UCSS recommends using UCSS for Mac, because this software is updated regularly.
How to Set Up UCSS for macOS
Download “UCSS for Mac” from the download menu after logging in.
There are two different versions of the software. One for computers using Intel processors, and another for computers using Apple Silicon processors. To check your processor, Click the Apple icon in the to left corner of the menu bar and select “About This Mac.” The software differs between the Intel version and the Apple Silicon version. If your computer uses an Intel processor, you will see a an item labeled “Processor” followed by the name of the Intel processor in your computer, such as “1.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5.”. If your Mac has an Apple Silicon processor, you will see an item labeled “Chip” followed by the name of the Apple Silicon processor, such as “Apple M1”.
Please download the software version designed for your processor.
Connect to UCSS
When you open the downloaded .exe file, you will be asked for permission to make changes to your computer. Select “Yes”. Then click “Install”.
Once the software installation is complete, you will be redirected to the login screen. Enter your email and password, and click “LOGIN”. The server information will load in a few seconds.
You can change the server by selecting the server name, then click “CONNECT” button.
When you log in for the first time, you will be asked for permission to connect to the system network. You must give this permission to access the system’s network in order to connect.
Choose the connection mode from the menu on the top left. There are two connection modes:
- Global: Route all traffic through the UCSS server
- Smart Routing: Route all traffic through the UCSS server except Mainland IP (bypass Mainland IP)
Under “Account”, you can log out, switch a plan, and check the remaining monthly traffic. Please remember that your “months” start from the day your began. For example, if you signed up for the service on the 7th day of the month, your traffic balance will reset on the 7th day of every month. You can also check your remaining monthly traffic in real-time form the Client Area on the homepage.
“Lauch at login” makes the program launch automatically when you start up your computer.
UCSS for Mac measures ping differently from most other apps. It uses the http header instead of ICMP/TCP which results in a larger ping measurement. Please use a speed test app for accurate ping measurement using ICMP/TCP.
Update Server Information
This program checks for updates and installs them automatically every time it starts up. If you need to update, simply restart the program.
How to Set Up ClashX
To configure ClashX in our service, you will need to select “ClashX” from the download menu after logging in to the Client Area. Open the download .dmg file in the application folder. When the installation is complete, the Clash icon will appear in the upper menu bar.
Our services are only available through ClashX Pro. please switch to ClashX Pro before configuring ClashX in our service.
Please refer here if you can not open the application.
Copy Clash URL
Log in to the Client area. Go to “Services” > “My services” > “Manage” > Copy “Clash URL”
Make sure to copy “Clash URL” which is ONLY for Clash. Do not use the subscription URL; it has a different format.
Load Your Servers
Open ClashX. A ClashX mark will be displayed in the menu bar. Select “Config” > “Remote Config” > “Manage” > “Add” and then paste the Clash URL you copied to “URL.” Enter the “Config Name” prefer, then select “OK” > “Succeed” to load server information.
If you cannot successfully load your servers due to network issues, you can load them manually. For manual loading, go to “Config” > “Remote Config” > “Update.”
Switch Server and Mode
You can choose 4 modes in “Proxy Mode:”
- Global: Route all traffic through UCSS server
- Rule: Route all traffic through UCSS server except Mainland IP (bypass Mainland IP)
- Script: Route traffic according to the written rules in the script
- Direct: Direct all traffic
After choosing a mode on “Proxy Mode”, you can select the server by clicking on “Proxy.” You can toggle it on or off by setting “Set as System proxy.”
If you want to use an application that does not allow you to use certain proxies, please turn off “Set as system proxy” and turn on “Enhanced Mode.”

Update Server Information
Click the Clash icon in the upper menu bar and use the keyboard shortcut ‘⌘ + U’ to complete the update.
To update manually, select “Config” > “Remote Config” > “Update”
How to Set Up Proxy Sharing
If the Mac device is using the LAN configuration, the device to be shared must be within the same Wi-Fi environment as the Mac device.
Proxy Sharing settings
1. UCSS for macOS
From the icon on the upper left, select “Setting” > “Proxy Sharing” > and check “Allow Proxy Sharing”. Check the port number and IP address.
The local IPs of all the external terminals currently in use are displayed. Please use the corresponding IP address when using via a wireless Wi-Fi router.
Select “Allow connect from Lan” from the menu bar and check it. The default port for ClashX is “7890”.
The select “System Preferences” >“Network.” Check the IP address assigned to the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to.
How to set the sharing devices (iOS)
Open the Wi-Fi settings and connect to a device that allows proxy sharing. It can be connected from any device that can set an HTTP proxy (Android, Windows, etc).
Select “Settings” > “Wi-Fi.” Select the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to. Tap “Configure Proxy” and select “Manual”. Enter the IP address and the port confirmed in step 1. Click “Save” in the upper right to complete the setting and connect your iPhone to a device that allows proxy sharing.
- The connection password and server information (server URL) are private user information. In order to use it safely, please DON’T upload it to SNS (WeChat, QQ etc) or share it with other people.
